I would just like to share on the divided brain podcast, the distinction left and right that delighted me is that the right is for “presencing” the left for re-presenting”, The right is home of metaphor the left of parts. McGilchrist’s image of a bird picking seed from grit is left hemisphere activity, (this/not that). Simultaneously the bird is aware of its wider world, is a storm coming, danger approaching etc, the broad being present a right hemisphere activity. Global perceptions of safety danger are right I believe, and distinguishing and procuring food prey etc, for the left. I am still unpacking this big storybook.
