I am a qualified Psychotherapist with several thousand clinical hours of experience working with individuals, couples, families and Groups. I started my clinical practice in Feb 2009 and gained my Transactional Analysis Post-grad Diploma in Psychotherapy in 2011; my BACP Accredited status in 2014; became qualified as a Certified Transactional Analyst and registered as a UKCP endorsed Psychotherapist in 2016; gained my MSc in Psychotherapy (from Middlesex University) in 2017 and my endorsement as a Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst in Berlin in August 2017. I train and supervise other counsellors and therapists in various organisations and settings. I am a Primary Course Tutor at Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy.
My previous career was in Corporate IT Sales and my first degree was in Marketing. I had a knack for coaching and mentoring others and I knew I wanted to discover more about myself and what made me tick. I was interested in how I could improve my life through psychological self-awareness. My own therapy has been life-changing and I have not yet worked with a client for a longer period than I have myself been in therapy. I have worked through many personal experiences from my past that were affecting me negatively in the present – one example is my adoption and how this was affecting my relationships and sense of security and self-esteem. I am married with 3 children and a Border Collie who keeps us active.
